Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: March 24, 2026
1. Our Commitment
Scaalr, Inc. ("Scaalr," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to ensuring that our website and digital services are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive online experience and continuously work to improve the accessibility of our platform in alignment with applicable standards and legislation.
2. Conformance Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities. WCAG 2.1 builds on WCAG 2.0 with additional criteria addressing mobile accessibility, low vision, and cognitive and learning disabilities.
3. Applicable Legislation
Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following legislation:
3.1 Canada
- Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) — Including the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (Ontario Regulation 191/11), which requires organizations to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA for public-facing web content. Our conformance to WCAG 2.1 AA exceeds this requirement.
- Canadian Human Rights Act — Prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services.
- Accessible Canada Act — Promoting a barrier-free Canada for persons with disabilities.
3.2 United States
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — Title III requires that places of public accommodation, including websites, be accessible to individuals with disabilities. U.S. courts have consistently applied WCAG 2.1 AA as the benchmark for ADA web accessibility compliance.
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act — Requires federal agencies and their contractors to ensure that electronic and information technology is accessible. Section 508 directly incorporates WCAG 2.0 Level AA; our conformance to WCAG 2.1 AA meets and exceeds this standard.
3.3 European Union
- European Accessibility Act (EAA) — Directive (EU) 2019/882, effective June 2025, requires that products and services offered within the EU, including digital services, meet accessibility requirements aligned with the harmonised European standard EN 301 549, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
- Web Accessibility Directive (EU) 2016/2102 — Requires public sector websites and mobile applications across EU member states to conform to EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
3.4 United Kingdom
- Equality Act 2010 — Requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that disabled people are not placed at a substantial disadvantage when accessing services, including digital services.
- Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 — Requires public sector websites and applications to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Our conformance to this standard extends this level of accessibility to all users of our platform.
4. What We Are Doing
To support accessibility across our website and services, we have taken the following measures:
- Maintaining sufficient colour contrast ratios between foreground text and background colours in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA minimum requirements.
- Providing visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements, with background-aware focus ring colours for clarity across different page sections.
- Including a skip-to-content link to allow keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation.
- Enforcing minimum font sizes and readable line-heights to support text legibility.
- Ensuring interactive controls (buttons, links, and form inputs) have clearly distinguishable hover, focus, active, and disabled states.
- Using semantic HTML elements and meaningful link text to support assistive technologies.
- Providing text alternatives for non-text content where applicable.
5. Known Limitations
While we work to ensure comprehensive accessibility, some content or features may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA in all circumstances. We are actively identifying and remediating any gaps. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know using the contact information below.
6. Feedback
